Earlier this week I started my relationship which I hope to be a strong and beautiful one with Projekt Glitter. I recently found them on Instagram and fell in love with all of their mixes. Immediately I could tell that they were different from all the other glitter I had ever seen and I felt I had to have some. I’m currently waiting for the RAVE RAVE RAVE collection, as well as THE BERLIN EDITION collection, each of which come with 5 different mixed body glitter tubes. They are a German company if you haven’t guessed and they do disclaim that it may take up to three weeks for your product to arrive. I’m sure it will be worth the wait!
In the mean time I’ll be practicing with the not as diverse glitter I have while I await the gorgeous stuff. This morning I played with the same sequins I used on my Flux Pavillion flag that you can read about here; I also used some silver chunky glitter I got from target during the holidays.
I started with my face. First comes foundation: Kat Von D Lock it in the shade medium neutral, and blended down my neck into my Too Faced Born This Way foundation in the shade warm beige. Next I contoured with Anastasia Beverly Hills Crème contour palette and Kat Von D Lock in concealer in the shade cool L13. I set that with some Ben Nye translucent powder and then hit my eyebrows with the Anastasia dip brow pomade in medium brown. To further contour I used Too Faced Light/Medium matte bronzer and Laura Geller honey highlighter from the Get Gilded palette; I put a little bit of dulce from that same palette down my nose, and extra on the tip as well as on cupids bow. Before I highlight for realsies I used Too Face 24 hour eye shadow insurance and let it set for a moment while I commence operation “blind some bitches.” I used star from the Anastasia Moon Child glow kit starting on my cheek and shading half moons around my eyes with the highlighter. back to eyes: I used BH cosmetics Galaxy chic palette in the two shades cosmic and milky way. The fine silver glitter on my forehead and eyeliner is Wet n Wild single glitter eyes hadows. On my water line I used NYX milk eye pencil, and I used Tarte mascara. To glue my sequin necklace I used duo eyelash glue. (apply the glue to your skin and wait for it to get tacky, then apply sequin to glue) The chunky silver glitter is added the same way. Lastly I put Deceased by Jeffree Star on my lips and packed some more silver glitter on top.
Then JJ and I headed to the tunnels to shoot. I originally planned to do alien glitter makeup but it turned out more princessy. Going more toward the alien vibe I put on Area 51 by PhaseOne to get myself pumped. Thinking about another blog post strictly about this song and my feelings towards it.. Anyway it got me going for these shots.
