All the skirts I have made until this point have been relatively similar when it comes to the pattern. I typically make A-line skirts and pencil skirts, so this time I wanted to do something a little different. For this skirt I drafted the pattern by taking my own measurements and determining where I wanted the darts.
Once I had the pattern drafted I cut out the pieces and sewed it all together, including the zipper which I placed at the center front.
The last pattern piece to add to the garment was another skirt front wrapping completely from right to left. To add this piece to the garment I ripped out the entire side seam and just added this piece when I sewed it back together.

Not unlike me, I wasn’t able to finish it all before I left for Stagecoach weekend :p When we arrived to our air bnb Thursday night I had to sew on 2 hook & eye sets, but that takes next to no time.
The skirt killed it. I don’t know why I’m always so surprised when my clothes actually hold up through a festival.. like I don’t know what I’m doing.
